    • Synopsis: "Join the urban babies as they celebrate the pleasures of cuisine. Foodie babies favor finger foods and small plates, and spend their days browsing the farmers' market--all in their inimitable style."My Review: I purchased this book for Munchkin since he loves every food we give him and want to continue to encourage him to enjoy it as we introduce solid food to him. Unfortunately this book seemed a little snootie to me. The story is cute but the images feature babies in places and with [...]

    • Hip and trendy babies like fancy foods because that's what their parents give to them. This board book, apparently part of an "Urban Babies" series, was kind of an odd experience. I felt like there was a hip party going on (that full well knew JUST how hip it was) that I wasn't really invited to but was peeking in on anyway. • This book made for a fun storytime during my stint in the Reserve Room on Thursday. What a great gift idea for young hip moms. I mean, is a baby ever too young to learn the term "al fresco"?My favorite page is the last one. "Foodie babies are tasty."

    • Perfect for counterculture babies! Foodie babies wear bibs, shop farmers' markets, sample cheese plates, play in the kitchen, enjoy finger foods, read cookbooks, et cetera, accompanied by very sweet illustrations.

    • This book appeals to adults as well as toddlers. The references it makes to foodies are interesting for adults, and the illustrations are great for children.

    • I'm pretty sure this book's illustrations and content appeal more to me than they do to Violet at her age (currently almost 3 months old), but I still enjoy reading it to her, my future foodie baby.
